Thru Connecticut and Massachusetts

September 6 and 7…

Rain, Rain go away – and don’t come back another day!  An overnight in a small, tight, wooded, and wet Connecticut campground was fine with me, but I got the feeling it was not the best way to start a trip.  The Boss couldn’t wait to leave for Salisbury Beach in Massachusetts, but this time it was I that was disappointed; no RV park on the beach (we were one mile away) and not even a walk in the drizzle on the beach.  Instead, we drove twenty miles up US-1 to the (filled with wonderful New England homes)Portsmouth, New Hampshire to shop at Stonewall Kitchens, the Boss’s favorite place for kitchen goodies.  On the way back we stopped at The Beach Plum for Lobster Rolls (which I don’t like, so I didn’t get one).  B&B agreed – not the best, as advertised, but then “we’re not in Maine.”
